Adv. Shimon Sagi heads the Real Estate Practice at our Firm. He is a partner at the Firm and has rich experience in the fields of real estate and litigation.
Adv. Sagi has been accompanying clients in the real estate field for tens of years. Before joining our Firm, Shimon was a partner at the Firon Law Office, and before then he was the owner of an independent law office that specializes in real estate and land taxation.
Shimon has substantial experience in accompanying real estate and housing projects, purchase groups and urban renewal transactions, as well as financing of real estate projects.
Shimon had experience in accompanying complex housing projects, for sale and for lease purposes, and handles the construction of thousands of housing units at any given moment. His clients include leading public companies in the real estate field, which are represented by him in a thorough manner in their activity in Israel and abroad.
Shimon leads projects of housing construction, beginning with handling of all aspects of the engagement between the entrepreneur and the land owners (including land taxation aspects), accompaniment of the zoning process before the competent committees and bodies, representation in financing agreements involved in establishment of the project vis-à-vis the financing institutions, accompaniment of the construction, marketing of the project, routine consultation on various matters that arise during establishment of the project, and up until registration of the project rights. As part of the through solution provided to clients of the Real Estate Practice, the Firm also provides advice as to land taxation, as well as legal representative in real estate claims and disputes of all kinds.
During the last decade, Shimon has accumulated a distinguished expertise in urban renewal and TAMA 38 projects and is proud to be among the few lawyers in Israel that have completed the handling of such complex projects, from initial planning until final occupancy. Shimon represents, among others, the largest entrepreneurs in Israel in the urban renewal field and accompanies hundreds of such projects at any given moment.
Shimon specializes in all stages of planning and execution of urban renewal projects, from the stage of engagement with the apartment owners, including banking financing, zoning and construction and contract works agreements, until the stage of sale of the apartments and their registration at the land registry. In addition, Shimon specializes in settlement of disputes that arise during such projects, including representation in claims before all judicial instances.
In addition, Shimon specializes in land taxation and advises in this field to companies and individuals when executing complex real estate transactions.
Shimon has a special expertise in providing legal solutions to clients from the ultra-Orthodox community and many of his clients come from this community. Shimon’s experience in this aspect includes representation of associations, educational institutions and public trusts, as well as representation in business arbitrations before the rabbinical courts.
